LANCE EATON: What caused you to write an autobiography about the intertwined lives of you and one Bartholomew J. Simpson?
NANCY CARTWRIGHT: Actually it was the fans that caused me to write "My Life As a 10-Year Old Boy. " I always wanted to write a book but when the fans continued to write into me with questions like "What is your favorite episode" and "How did you get to be Bart Simpson," I realized the time was right. That was winter 1999.
