Day of the Tentacle

    ------------------------------------------------------------
Who wants to touch me?… I said, WHO WANTS TO FUCKIN' TOUCH ME?! (Cartman, "South Park - Bigger, Longer & Uncut")

    DOTT is a one-player adventure.
First I introduce you the cast of the game.

At first the persons we control:
    This is Bernard;
he is like a white cousin of Steve Urkel.
He is the president of the physic club and
you know him from the first part of DOTT,
    Maniac Mansion.

    This is Hoagie;
he is the drummer of the Band:
    ”Byte the devil-like Pancreas”.
He is like a mixture of Bill and Ted
    and Wayne and Garth,
funny and with the cleverness of a
    7 years old boy.

    This is Laverne;
she is a medical study and goes not
    out without a scalpel.

    Now the other main characters:

Dr. Fred is the owner of the mansion. He was in Manic Mansion too. At that time he was a horrible monster. But now he is poor, he has rebuilt his house in a hotel and needs the help of Bernard, Laverne and Hoagie.

His wife Edna is just in her room for the whole game. She is sitting there and controls the hotel with her high-tech supervision-system.

Their son Ed is a little bit stupid, because in the first part, his hamster explode.

    And now the tentacles:

Nobody really knows what the tentacles really are, but they are intelligent like humans. The green tentacle is a little bit naive but very friendly. The purple tentacle is bad, very bad.

    Now to the story:

How many man have try to get the control over the earth?
Adolf Hitler, Ghengis Khan, Atilla the Hun, the Brain and now purple tentacle!

    Why?

The green and the purple tentacle went out on a wonderful spring-day and arrive a toxic contaminated river. Why it is contaminated? –Ask Dr. Fred. The purple tentacle drinks from the water and mutate to an evil tentacle.
He gets arms and feels the drive to control the earth.

Luckily Fred can catch the tentacles.

After it, Bernard gets a letter from a hamster. In that he asked for help and that he has to come to the mansion.
Bernard and his friends immediately drive to the hotel.
When they are there Bernard makes the mistake and helps the purple tentacle to flee. The 3 friends have now to go one day in the past to make sure that the purple tentacle not drinks from the water. This they can only do with Dr. Fred’s time machine, the Chron-O-John. But this not happen, the time machine get broken because Dr. Fred has use a fake diamond. The friends where now placed in 3 different time epochs.

Hoagie get placed 200 Years in the past, punctual to the making of the independence declaration. Bernard stays in the present and Laverne travels in the future for 200 years. Here the tentacles have do a good job! The humans are now the pets of the tentacles.
Now they all have to come back in the present.

Here begins the work of the player.

He must help Bernard, to get a 2 Million $ Diamond, Laverne, to get out of the imprisonment of the tentacles and Hoagie, to find a energy-spring in a time in that the fathers of America haven’t find the right design for the flag of America.

The player can control every 3 Persons and send objects from one time to another.
One of the best specials of the game is that you can play Maniac Mansion part 1.
The game is very funny and you have to solve some hard riddles.
You could get addicted to the game, but the addiction stays not very long because you play the game in 7 hours when you haven’t played such a game before.
The game is from 1993 and if you find it in a shop than just in a game collection.
